Yash Raj Films’ 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan', which completes its shooting schedule soon, is slated to release in theatres worldwide on 9th September 2011.

Starring Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar in lead roles, the film is written and directed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra.

'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' is a musical romantic comedy set amongst upper middle class families in North India. A topsy-turvy story which takes you on a fun-filled ride of humour and romance, where Imran falls in love with his brother's dulhan!

The film has already generated a lot of interest and is one of the most anticipated movies this year.

A s I walked into the crowded, narrow lanes of Pakistan Chowk in Karachi, I desperately looked around for Ali Zafar who was shooting the video of Jee Dhoondta Hai there early last week.

Amid the hustle and bustle, I spotted the production crew but not the man in question, and upon asking I was escorted to a guy dressed in a rustbrown shalwar kameez. On approaching him, I realised that it was Ali Zafar like never seen before.

I told him how different he looked to which he said in his usual thoughtful, charming manner, “Everything is different at this point in my life. I have undergone several changes during my career in music and I have learned a lot about life, etc. Jhoom is about that discovery. The songs express how I feel now, and it is obviously different from what I used to feel in the past.” Q. But don’t you think you will alienate younger fans with slow tracks, as they are used to the hip-hop genre?

KARACHI: Top musicians unite to perform together on one stage.

Set against the beautiful back drop of Mohatta Palace, one recent balmy evening brought together some of Pakistan’s leading musicians on stage. Accompanied by a 22-piece orchestra under the direction of Shahi Hasan and Sarmad Ghafoor, the line-up included Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar and Saieen Zahoor who held the audience’s rapt attention late into the night.

The fact that Ali Zafar is a multi-talented actor is no secret. Apart from acting, Ali loves to sing and paint. He has numerous albums in his name and is busy promoting his current one - JHOOM.

Currently, riding high on his last success; TERE BIN LADEN, Ali is on signing spree in B-Town. The latest is that he may be part of Yash Raj's DHOOM 3 too. Ali is currently busy with Yash Raj Films' MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN with Imran and Katrina Kaif in the lead.

Now a source reveals that Ali Zafar is planning to showcase his painting side too and is thinking of casting Katrina on his canvass. Adds the source, "Ali Zafar is an artist to the core. Be it acting, singing or painting. So, recently someone suggested Ali to paint Katrina, the actor spotted a smile in agreement and might actually go ahead to do it. But, no one knows how soon will that be."

For the moment the actor in Ali has taken the lead. Let's hope his painting side too is not a reality that gets sidelined for long.
