Jawad Ahmed and Shehzad Roy, A night to remember.

It is common for a population to remember concerts and events involving big names, but what is not common is, Big names remembering the population who gave them a hell of a cheer. Same scenario happened recently in Sacramento. The Show organized by Pakistani American Association of Greater Sacramento which was one of the first Independence celebration shows turned out to be the most terriffic event of the year for performers and audiences alike.
Jashn-e-Azaadi is a time when the patriotic spirits are up high, and love of the country we all cherish and call home is in the air. In such a time if a night turns out to be owned by the huge names of Pakistani Music industry, there are few chances that it would be dull.
The well-organized show was the responsibility of Aqeel and his team of hard-working and dedicated professionals. The chief Guest, Husain Huqqani who is theAmbassador of Pakistan in USA could not come to the show but one of his member Ehsan Wagon attended, and Boy did the ambassador miss a show! Starting in the name of Allah, with Recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem of Pakistan which was sung by the whole audiences present in the premises, displaying the passion and love everyone felt for their country and keeping to the spirit of freedom we all carry, the show kick-started with Warming-up Bhangra tracks by Faisal Lucky who is an exceptional local talent. Adding to the already passionate mix was Zaki who performed a brilliant Rap track on Pakistan and later on request of the chief guest showed-off his talent by making live and spontaneous Rap on spot about Terrorism not being a product of Islam. His exceptional performance earned him huge applauses and love from the Audience.
Now came time for the MainStream artist which were the show-stoppers of the evening. Shehzad Roy already stunned and impressed by the huge crowd,welcoming him to the crypt, opened his performance with the unplugged version of his famous track "yeh Jo Aag hai" and continued further with his Massive hit "Kangna" followed by his two other Famous tracks "Saali tu Maani nahi" and the latest "Laga Rey". The sound and the power of the performance mesmerised the audience. Shehzad Roy was so mesmerised by the audience that he distributed his New album Cds in the crowd.
The next performance was by the Bhangra King Jawad Ahmed. Despite his Late appea rance on the stage and his desire to sing his slower songs as he mentioned prior to his performance that he liked his slower songs better than his Bhangra tracks which are reason for his fame. Starting of with his hit track "bin teray kya hai jeena" unplugged. Touring after a long time the next track he performed on audience's request was " Oh kehndi ay" and the audience enjoyed it to the core. The atmosphere turned to fast and bhangra so he introduced a live Dhol on stage, singing his famous track "Dholna" and it becoming the most rocking track of the night as he mixed "Lal meri Patt" and the beautiful mix had the audiences clapping and dancing. The last song of the night was "Rahay na Rahay" which started with the national anthem sung by Jawad along with the audience.Hence after this track the most enjoyable night which was attended by a crowd exceeding the figure of 5000 covered by media including Pakmusic.net came to an end but kickstarted the Independence Celebrations for the whole month of AUGUST.
