Raiders Cup
In association with Apna cricket, PakMusic Forums and Pakistan Student Association.

The event is to encourage healthy activities among communities. Every one from any age group is welcome to join and experience a great day of cricket. The event is organized in association with Heart and Stroke foundation of Ontario's initiative to create awareness of Cardiovascular Diseases in the South Asian population with the help of world's second most popular sport aka Cricket. Bring your friends and families to witness a wonderful family event.

We will have official people from the Heart and stroke organization and if you would like to make any sort of donation, we all will be happy on any kind of contribution.

Sixteen(16) teams are scheduled to take part in the competition. There are 4 groups consisting of 4 teams. Each team will play 3 games and top 2 teams will qualify for Quarter-finals on May 1st. Register now before all the spots are taken up!!!

Following the phenomenal success of the inaugural festival in 2010, the Indian Film Festival: Bollywood & Beyond (IFF) returns in 2011 to celebrate and showcase the best of Indian cinema.

The Indian Film Festival is delighted to invite a very special guest to Australia — musician/actor Ali Zafar who will be presenting his tongue-in-cheek comedy ‘Tere Bin Laden’ at the Festival in Melbourne and will discuss his career within the world’s biggest film industry. He will host a Q&A session for ‘Tere Bin Laden’ at the IFF and who knows maybe he will even sing for the audience.

The screening of ‘Tere Bin Laden’ will take place on the 13th of March from 17:30 to 20:30 and the screening venue is Hoyts Melbourne Central.

Episode 3 of Uth records is out! This week catch the musical prodigy Usman Riaz who will blow your mind with his Piano playing and unique guitar playing skills!

Hailing from a musical family background, this young 20 year old artists' passion for music was inspired primarily by his grandmother within the classical genre. A vocalist and 'percussive guitarist' also inspired by the Piano, Usman Riaz has performed live for audiences at events such as Celesta International Cultural Arts Festival held in Lucknow, an event for Calvin Klien at Port Grand and on a diversity of television and radio shows.

Having previously recorded his work entitled Flashes and Sparks, Usman is currently working on writing, composing and recording a series of new musical compilations. At Uth Records, Usman immensely enjoyed the freedom he had from the show's producers and he will be playing an entirely new composition, 'Hum Tum', with musical guidance from top Pakistani artist, Ali Noor. For this young talent, music is his magic.

Speaking about his experience at Uth Records, Usman Riaz says "My experience has been wonderful. I am very grateful that all these established artists have selected me to write a piece with them. It was a very eye opening experience where I got to see how they work and the best part is that I had complete freedom. Each part that I composed, they built around, instead of having me modify each part...."

For the past nine years, I have been in a dysfunctional relationship. My liaison started somewhat unexpectedly, quickly becoming an all-consuming passionate love affair. My partner reciprocated strongly, bestowing deep affection and adoration upon me. Blinded by love, I was naive to her failings. Yes, at times she was self-destructive, irrational and grossly irresponsible, but I hoped by appealing to her nature’s better angles she could change. Instead, as the years progressed, and, supported by her ‘friends’ in the media, she corroded, simultaneously displaying signs of megalomania and paranoia. Once the relationship turned abusive and I feared for my life, I decide to call it quits. Today, the divorce comes through. Hername is Pakistan. And today, I am leaving her for good.

Released this week in the UK, "West is West" is a British comedy which is the sequel to the hit movie "East is East".

Although the original soundtrack is done by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, there are original tunes done by Saeein Zahoor throughout the movie and the end scene is picturised on "Aik Alif" as recorded in the Coke Studio Sessions Season 2. A very proud moment and a landmark for Pakistani Music getting noticed and being appreciated abroad.
